The Cancer Care team at Touro consists of specialists, surgeons, and friendly staff in departments including breast surgical oncology, hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, reconstructive surgery, interventional pulmonology, and supportive care. We’re here for you, from the day you’re diagnosed with cancer, throughout your individualized treatment plan, and well into survivorship.

Lilian O’Cain
Cancer Rehabilitation
Lillian O’Cain, LOTR, is an Occupational Therapist and currently serves as the Cancer Rehabilitation Program Manager. Lil graduated from Louisiana State University School of Allied Health Professionals with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. In 2013 she implemented the STAR Program at Touro to provide patients with coordinated cancer rehabilitation supported by a team of specially trained STAR Certified ™ clinicians and providers. Lil received the City Business Health Care Hero award in 2010 and was a 2015 Belle Honoree from the American Cancer Society. Lil is also a certified CarFit technician and Event Coordinator and instructor of AARP’s HomeFit program. Lil is passionate about providing outpatient therapy focused on improving the lives of cancer survivors who suffer from side-effects caused by cancer treatments.

Danielle McCullogh
Nurse Navigators
Danielle McCullogh, RN, BSN, is the Cancer Care Navigator at Touro. Danielle received her BS from Millsaps College and then her BSN from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has been a nurse for 13 years and has been part of the Touro family for eight of those 13 years. In 2017 Danielle became the Cancer Care Navigator. Danielle is passionate about helping patients overcome barriers to receiving the quality and timely care they deserve.

Joelle Mouriz
Nurse Navigators
Joelle Mouriz, RN, BSN, is the RN Navigator - Lung Screening Coordinator at Touro. Joelle received her BSN from Louisiana State University School of Nursing in 1998. She worked on a med-surg unit until 1999 when she joined the Touro family. Once she was here, she trained on all of the maternal child units, postpartum, NICU, well baby nursery, and finally found her home in the Labor and Delivery. Joelle has over 20 years of nursing experience in maternal child health as an Internationally Certified Lactation Consultant, in Home Health as a charge nurse, and a Clinical supervisor of Labor and Delivery. Joelle was recognized as Touro Employee of the Month in November 2014 for the extraordinary care she provided her patients. In 2019 she joined the Oncology Department as the Lung Screening Coordinator and hopes to help patients understand and focus on the importance of prevention and early detection of lung cancer.

Paula Harrelson
Cancer Survivorship Coordinator
Paula Harrelson, RN, serves as the Cancer Survivorship Coordinator at Touro. Paula graduated from the Wesley Medical Center School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas. For over 40 years, Paula has worked in various areas of nursing and transitioned into Oncology Nursing after being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2003. Paula began her career at Touro in 2007 in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center and then developed the Cancer Survivorship program in 2014. Paula is passionate about helping patients move forward in life after cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Liz Cabrera
Clinical Dietitian
Liz Cabrera RD,LDN,CSO,CNSC is a registered, licensed nutritionist who is a board-certified specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO). She has over 20years experience working in oncology nutrition providing care to Touro’s cancer patients throughout their cancer journey- from diagnosis to survivorship. Liz works closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide individualized nutrition care.
Little something extra: I strongly believe in patient-centered care -understanding a cancer diagnosis from the patient’s perspective and respecting their values and expectations.
